I have a feeling this is going to be a slightly darker album and I couldn't be more excited. Love, love the artwork.

Preview has a cool Steve Reich rhythmic vibe. All indications positive for this being more engaging than the plebfest that was holy fire.

It means for a more poppy rock sound they delivered a great record. big sound, huge hooks, less of the charm and math rocks sounds of their past records. Context means a lot when viewing a record and many people disliked Holy Fire when in comparison to their past material. It was a much more straight forward record and lacked the emotional punch songs like Spanish Sahara had. Viewing Holy fire as it's own entity and what the band was trying to create, I think it can hold it's weight against the rest of their discography.

I really enjoyed Holy Fire, but artistically speaking, Total Life Forever is definitely a better album.

Can't wait, just hope it's better than Holy Fire. That album was a huge letdown after TLF, which was absolutely incredible.

Holy Fire was shit. Antidotes and Toal Life Forever were much better.

The singles of Holy Fire were great : Inhaler, My Number, Late Night

Some songs were good : Bad Habit, Milk & black spider

Some were average/bad : Prelude, Everytime, Out of the woods, Stepson, Providence, Moon

Based on what Yannis said on a NME interview, it's either going to be more like Antidotes or more like Holy Fire... The heavy parts are heavier and the Pop parts are poppier(?)
