drums also sounded terrible
|
| |
Drum sound is probably my all-time favorite, especially the kick & snare. I think it worked, even without bass.
|
| |
Lars is one of the biggest douche in metal
|
| |
Remaster the albums already.
|
| |
Haha oh man what a character
|
| |
"He told the bass to eat a dick"
Eloquent as fk, I actually snorted when I read that.
And now that we've got that cleared up, I wonder whose fault the flat guitar sound was?
|
| |
AJFA drum sound is Metallica's 2nd best but that bass tone is so fucking delicious, what a waste of mixing and playing.
|
| |
i'm shocked
|
| |
lars ulrich is a dickhead. more news at 11
|

They just need to remaster, the mixing on that album is so flat and lifeless

|

|

I've read the same thing ages ago, I think in a Newsted interview. Apparently Lars was on cocaine at that time too.
|
| |
the album is not that special even if we ignore the shit production anyway [2]
|

Albums so good no one really gives a shit about bass
|

He's a weenie, should have stuck with tennis.
|

Honestly I've always really enjoyed the sound of the drums on ...And Justice, but yeah, this was pretty inexcusable.

Lars Ulrich is a 13 yo autistic dentist trapped in the body of a dwarf.
also
change back the headline.
|
| |
To the people asking for a remaster, there is already one, actually there are a shitload of them, search them
|
| |
Tbh even though I'd like to hear a version with bass properly mixed in (not one of those fan remixes), a remaster of this would most likely result in insane amounts of brick walling and it would end up like Death Magnetic
Also, fuck Lars
|
| |
The production has always kept me from listening to AJFA.
It's cringeworthy more than it's acceptable.
|
| |
"Remaster the albums already. "
hell yeah
|

Lars Ulrich is a shitgoose.
That being said, I found out something very interesting about the state of the music industry and a big reason why it's all gone to shite. Remember when Lars made that huge stink about Napster in 1999-2000? We all laughed at him for being the whistle-blowing douche-nozzle that he is for bringing a beloved revolutionary file-sharing site to court for what was essentially pennies on the dollar. And he is. Undoubtedly.
However, I did some research. And what I've come to discover is that file-sharing and illegal download forums like Napster, Kazaa, Limewire, Mediafire, and The Pirate Bay are largely responsible for the death of record labels as we know it in the 21st century. I'll give you an example. Ever wonder why MTV stopped playing music videos? Ever wonder why MTV2, a sister network specifically launched to house music video programming that its parent channel wasn't willing to air anymore in place of shitty reality shows, eventually fell the same way?
Well as you may have it, the record labels funding such music videos to fill up MTV's programming blocks, ran out of money. Where did it go? It was never there. The revenue they could have been garnering from record sales and distribution deals with retailers flew out the window, taking the music video money with it. So no money to make music videos? No music videos. Which means no more TRL. No more 120 Minutes. No more Direct Effect. No more VJ's. and most importantly, no more Abby Gennett. Essentially, no more music television as anyone knew it. Just guidos doing their fucking laundry in between Clearasil commercials.
And why shouldn't they pump out reality shows? It's easy. It's cheap to produce. and goddammit does it bring in the ratings.
So there you have it. Illegal downloading ruined MTV. Betcha never thought about that, did you? Well it's okay. The good news is, it's 2015 now. It ain't 1981 anymore. And maybe the idea of music television has naturally run its course in the advent of the Internet-media takeover we're experiencing in the present. So I'm in no way protesting or shedding any tears. I say let it die. But now we at least know why good old Uncle MTV from our childhood days is too concerned now with teenage pregnancy and Rob fucking Dyrdek to give us some quality programming.
Lars Ulrich is a shitgoose. But he was also right. One time.

LOL breaking news from 1988

LARS ULRICH RESPONSIBLE FOR 9/11
I have a feeling we will see this at some point
|
| |
i kinda like the production in a weird way. i mean it's shit yeah, but it gives the album a bit of personality. takes me back to the mid 00's and 128kbps mp3s lol
|
| |
Underproduction rarely bothers me, but overproduction that ignores key aspects especially low end drives me crazy
|

The fan edits with more bass are awesome. As for this news, it's just Lars being Lars...

He just forgot to hop the Lars hate bandwagon in the 2000's and thought it was better late than never.

|
| |
Fuck you Lars. Remaster this shit will ya?

A kick to the scrotum? Let's pull his fucking teeth out. XD
|

"As per usual, Lars Ulrich is to blame."
|

This album deserves a desperate remaster, and don't just make the volume louder.
