The Killers Bid For Xmas #1 2006-11-22 by Horrorshow34 | 2 Comments | The Killers are set to make a bid for the UK Christmas number one with their festive anthem 'A Great Big Sled'. The group recorded the track in London last week after frontman Brandon Flowers decided he wanted to contribute something towards Bono's Red Campaign, which fights AIDs and HIV in Africa.
British bookmakers say that the future X Factor winner is favourite to top the chart with odds of 2/7, whlist Cliff Richards (8/1), Take That (10/1) and The Killers (14/1) are all currently behide.
Flowers also revealed some of the lyrics for 'A Great Big Sled' including the lines ''I wanna roll around like a kid in the snow/I wanna re-learn what I already know/I wanna take flight/Dress in red in the night on a great big sleigh/And I wanna wish you a Merry Christmas''.
The track will be released through iTunes on December 5. I bet Cliff Richard's bricking it!
