Best 2021 Records as of September

Been a while since I've made a list, can't wait to get a bunch of hate! let's do it
1Humanity's Last Breath

Super thick atmosphere, production is absolutely stellar as you'd expect from HLB.

FFO Meshuggah, Vildhjarta, Black Tongue

Took what was great about Neon and built upon it, with much better production and even better songwriting. Jesse is a machine for being able to sing like he does while playing lead guitar and Alex is absolutely killing it on the drums.

FFO Polaris, Northlane, Progressive metal

Shadow Autonomous
3Holding Absence
The Greatest Mistake Of My Life

Wasn't a huge fan of the self titled LP, but I feel like they really came into their own and formed a sound that really works for them. Sometimes borders on "The Killers' worship, but I really enjoy this record.

FFO Loathe, Casey, The Killers

Beyond Belief

Is this Loss? yes it is, and it's excellent. Breakneck speed deathcore and it's nothing but fun. excellent vocals, awesome riffs and just a good time for everyone. pos

FFO Fit For An Autopsy, Whitechapel, Aversions Crown

Temporal Punishment

Danish progressive space rock. I'm a bit late to the VOLA train but I am really enjoying this record, can get a bit "cheesy" sometimes but there's some excellent stuff in here. Still don't know how I feel about the Shahman feature though.

FFO Periphery, Tesseract, Skyharbor

6MouthBreather (USA-MA)
I'm Sorry Mr. Salesman

mathy grindcore/grindy mathcore from Boston. Production is grimy as hell, such a visceral record with some very interesting moments.

FFO Dillinger, Frontierer/Sectioned, Fawn Limbs

Cotton Shot
Glow On

completely natural progression for the band, I think they've hit a perfect medium of sticking to their core sound while expanding and adding new flairs and different production styles. super 90's and is basically janes addiction so yeah that's fun

FFO Turnover, Jane's Addiction, Harms Way
