05.16.17 | Zep because they have fewer albums, which means fewer opprotunities to mess up later on. |
wham49
05.16.17 | actually there is an early Psyche band called The Peanut Butter Conspiracy, and their second album is called The PB conspiracy is Spreading
any way I digress, Sabbath for sure, Love me some Zep, but nothing gets me as creamed up as a good BS movement
Sandbubble, I think we are all only including the REAL BS not the post Never Say Die lineups, except maybe Titan, but he is weird |

05.16.17 | get your point Satellite, but almost every band has worked into their own music their musical tastes, maybe not to the extent of Zep, early Bob Dylan is just a rip of americana music with updated lyrics |

05.16.17 | The ultimate question ain't it?
Unfortunately Zeppelin are one of those bands so popular with every new generation of rock and roll listening music fan that it's totally passe and even looked down on by some people for loving them. Sabbath hasn't had that kind of negative "ugh too mainstream 4 me" backlash Zeppelin has had since Hot Topic started churning their merch out endlessly some 15 years ago, so most will say Sabbath.
I want to say Sabbath, but I can't. Zeppelin had such a ridiculously consistently amazing run of albums from '69-'75, one I feel is definitely more consistent than Sabbath's work in that timeframe. Page is a guitar god, not that Iommi isn't, but Page was on a different level. Bonham was a monster behind the drums, one of the best ever. And Plant is one of the great rock vocalists right next to Ozzy. I'm not saying it's not a tough call, but I've gotta go with Zep. |

05.16.17 | Sabbath are crazy influential, but Ufomammut and Electric Wizard made them a little redundant for me. If I'm in the mood for doomy stoner riffs, I'd rather listen to bands who took Sabbath's ideas and ran with them
whereas if I'm in the mood for bluesy hard rock with cheesy fantasy lyrics, there's really only Zep |

10.04.17 | I got into zep way earlier so i used to prefer zep, but theyre slowly getting ruined for me by this dude who's always around me who insists that any music that isnt zep or rush is dogshit, with a couple exceptions (beatles, floyd, etc)
As a result of this my interest in zeppelin and mainly rush (the band he talks about more) has gone down so much
he doesn't repeatedly talk about sabbath so i guess them |
