Yeah the sport has been franchised to fuck here now and more or less killed it. Thankfully you still have the odd player who plays with his heart on his sleeve and supporter groups who won't put up with shit (Fairplay Liverpool) makes it seem a bit like the 'old' days |

03.08.16 | Yeah such is the way of sports these days. I do have respect for 'Pool supporters trying to fight that, but I also understand the basic "charge what they'll pay" approach from the clubs...way of the world and all that.
Honestly as much as I dislike Spurs, I have a lot of respect for Poch doing so much with your academy players and not buying his way out of trouble. In a counterintiutive way (because they've been spending like a addict at a casino) I respect LvG for the same reason. So far he doesn't bitch about putting in all these youngin's due to their injuries. Except I don't get why he complained about pace up front last year when he had, you know, di Maria. He's alright. |

03.08.16 | Tuna I'm with you man, I like seeing some variety in the league too, but I am slightly bitter about the media narrative around Leicester. They've got some right cunts in there and they get a free pass because of how little people expected this. And I don't just mean off the pitch (Vardy Jap incident ofc) but also on it. Tons of respect for what they've done but the media lets em off easy whereas Arsenal feel like the perennial whipping boys.
If no one hears me cry about it did it actually happen though? |

03.08.16 | @Spacesh1p Give it a season or two and Vardy will start getting shit from the media again, the whole "chat shit get banged" thing was plaayed for laughs (which is fair because it's funny) but the jap stuff will come back to get him later on. |
Spacesh1p
03.08.16 | Well depending on your definition of center mid, he excelled at that role in his last season at RM. Granted it was part of a 3 but his running with the ball from deep was hugely important to how they played. Playing him in CM isn't a crazy idea.
However playing him as a strict support striker (like he did in a few games up front with RvP) doesn't make a whole lot of sense, which I am assuming you are referencing? |

Spacesh1p
03.08.16 | Not at all Noct. I know about LvG, Rinus Michels talks about him about in his book. I have a ton of respect for him, I just think that playing di Maria there sounds better on paper than how it actually came about. |

03.08.16 | No Way!!! Fucking hell.

Pappy he's not beyond reproach, that is for sure, but the money is almost spent just to spend it and cry for relevance. I don't know who fashions their transfer policy (purportedly Woodward but I still think he's the foreign media bogeyman ruining "the biggest club in the world") but I'm going to guess it isn't all on LvG considering how he has (not) used some of the players purchased by the club. |
