January jams
List of albums actually from this month opposed to just things i've been listening to. |
1 | | Sampha Process
Fuck, this album is gorgeous. I sort of had this idea that the album would be good after seeing him live late last year, but I didn't think it'd be THIS good. Technically a february release but yeah I don't care. |
2 | | Sundara Karma Youth Is Only Ever Fun in Retrospect
Some pretty cool indie rock. It's catchy, it's poppy, but it's still a jam. If I would compare it to anything, well... it's difficult, but somewhere between the rockier tracks from The 1975 (such as Sex) and the popper tracks from Arctic Monkeys. |
3 | | The xx I See You
I can for some reason never remember what this album is called, but yeah it's quality. Always liked The xx, never been a huge fan. This album could change that, but I need more listens before I can fully know. |
4 | | Great Good Fine Ok III
Electro-poppy goodness, what more can I say? Only thing that was a bit of a bummer was they released a majority of the tracks as singles before this EP. |
5 | | Wiley Godfather
The godfather of Grime supposedly releases his last album. We'll see about that. We'll see about that.
It's a jam though. |
6 | | Dryjacket For Posterity
HEAD, BENT OVER.
RAISED UP POSTERIOR.
Okay, I always think of Rick And Morty when I see the album title.
This is some cool emo/pop-punk jams. Not too many bands are doing this vibe anymore, it's been slowly dying out since 2009 i feel. |
7 | | SOHN Rennen
Need to check this out. Was a fan of his first album, haven't given this a shot yet.
Also good from this month:
Code Orange
Bonobo
Tory Lanez
PNB Rock
Vaultry
