Yeah, I love it. A good turning point for these guys IMO. There Is a Hell, Believe Me I've Seen It. There Is a Heaven, Let's Keep It a Secret got me into them, but I love this album equally. |

11.23.12 | In Utero is hideously underrated. It's the album that blends the raw sound of Bleach, with the things that made Nevermind great together. By far the best album.
As for The Darkness, I know everyone didn't like OWTTHAB, but I thought it was abit darker, so it appealed to me more. |

11.23.12 | That's because OWTTHAB has like 3 good songs in it (title track, Is It Just Me, Girlfriend, and I guess Hazel Eyes) while having tripe like Bald.
Could never ever ever get into In Utero. Mid portion is complete filler aside from Dumb. Bleach is my favourite from them, even though I rank Nevermind higher for personal as well as musical relevance reasons. But album is not underrated, if anything it is OVERrated on here.
My personal Darkness rating: Hot Cakes > Permission > Ticket.
My personal Nirvana rating: Bleach > Nevermind > Incesticide > In Utero. |

And how do you find In Utero overrated? All anyone talks about if it's Nirvana is Nevermind. And that's fine, Nevermind is great. In Utero was specifically made for real Nirvana fans. It isn't an easy listen to be sure, but it's awesome once you break past the "that doesn't sound like Nevermind" crack.
The fact it was produced by Steve Albini makes this appeal to me even more. |

Also, I have no problems with it 'not sounding like Nevermind' - like I said, Bleach is my favourite, and that sounds like nothing else they put out. It's the fact that every song from 'Frances Farmer' to 'Tourette's' (not counting the latter or 'Dumb') is snore-inducing filler that makes me dislike it. |
