My Top Rated Albums Of 2013

Anyone remember when I did this last year and got torn a new asshole? I did not do much rating rthis year so based on what I got I'm expecting to have two new assholes tore for me. Every rthing is an album I have user ranked 3.5 higher, and each is accompanied with an explanation, rand my technical ranking. Flame away, and happy holidays everyone!

A tale of two halves. Be Alone being the only solid track on side two.
15Tegan And Sara

These chicks annoyed the shit out of me until they made their music 10x more poppier.... is that bad?
14Twenty One Pilots

The breakout band of the year for alternative music. Why do bands release all the albums best songs before the album is
released, or simply, why do you have to remake them? All the excellent songs here are remakes. (besides Ode To Sleep)
13Jimmy Eat World

An album that tells the tale of a relationship gone awry, Jimmy Eat World is best in a somber tone. I mean... besides Bleed
12My Chemical Romance
Conventional Weapons

The end of an era, until Way becomes a broke hippie. Some of these songs are plain excellent like Surrender The Night, Boy
Division, Ambulance and The Light Behind Your Eyes. But some are understood why they are outtakes, mainly Make Room!!!
11A Day To Remember
Common Courtesy

At least the metalcore ain't a gimmick no more, but the pop punk tracks are better then the metalcore tracks IMO
10Panic! At The Disco
Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die!

A disappointment, but nonetheless still excellent. This Is Gospel is one of my favorite tracks of this year. This could have been
so much better though and that is really saying something.
9Daft Punk
Random Access Memories

Daft Punk's step into classier dance music could not have gone more smoothly for me. This was a surprise that I loved it.
Contact is a must hear jam.
Ocean Avenue Acoustic

It was really nice to hear these songs composed somewhat differently than the originals, namely Ocean Avenue and Empty
7The Wonder Years
The Greatest Generation

Further maturity from a band that is still rising the ranks of pop punk, I expect them to only get better with their next release.

I have always had a soft spot for Tedder's voice, he has the ability to make bad songs listenable. (listen to Zedd's Lost At Sea
featuring him) on their newest effort, OneRepublic are starting to put the coldplay comparisons to bed. Something I Need is just
way too fucking good.
5How To Destroy Angels
Welcome Oblivion

I've been riding this albums respective cock so hard ever since it has been released.
Pure Heroine

The most critically acclaimed pop release of the year. Lorde proves that she is a treasure and mature beyond her years at only
the age of 17. A further proof of the new pop music niche, explored in a more creative and satirical way. Yes, it is funny how
people talk.
3Angels and Airwaves
Stomping the Phantom Brake Pedal

What the band has always strived to be, this would be 5 worthy if it was not for pointless remixes.
2Justin Timberlake
The 20/20 Experience

For the past two years I have been saying to close friends and family that when Justin Timberlake returned to the music
industry (after a slew of terrible movies) that it would be a big deal. I was right, but I didn't think I would be this right. With
20/20 JT explores different types of music, from the eccentric "Let The Groove Get In", to the mellow "Blue Ocean Floor", and
the 2013 mega hit "Mirrors" JT proves he still has it... too bad he would drop it later in the year with the much less successful
part 2.
Flowers For My Father

Sadistik is probably the most tongue in cheek MC in the game right now. On Flowers for My Father, Sadistik battles with us the
loss of a loved patriarch. It's heart wrenching. Petirchor, and Snow White are the best tracks on this superb listen. A must
