Ecnalzen 12.24.12	Edit: Nevermind. I don't want to have the same argument ppl have been having about the way Dante looks since they first revealed the character design. I love the first and third DMC. The 2nd one kind of (mostly) sucks and the 4th one was decent.
AngelofDeath 12.24.12	The Devil May Cry reboot seems really pointless, and Bioshock Infinite seems like too much of a departure from the atmosphere that made the originals memorable.
Ecnalzen 12.24.12	I wouldn't really call it a reboot. They are just giving more of Dante's back story and a different developer is doing it. For whatever reason, Capcom didn't want to do the series internally anymore.

I'm not here to argue, I was just under the impression that they were making a new Devil May Cry game exploring more of Dante and Virgil's back stories with a new developer. I haven't really read into it a whole lot (maybe it is a reboot), I just played the demo when it went live and really enjoyed it.
Poet 12.24.12	If you're complaining about God of War's gameplay being repetitive you are obviously playing it for the wrong reason.

But the whole, dark, cropped do is a bit much. I don't buy into the whole "Western take on the franchise" excuse, either. It'd be like taking Link and giving him black hair and a beard and saying, "We just want to explore the roots of the Zelda franchise from a different perspective." I'm sure the gameplay will be at least decent, given how good Heavenly Sword's was, but if it doesn't feel like a Devil May Cry game, then there's no reason to affix the title where it doesn't belong.

Ecnalzen 12.24.12	@ AngelofDeath I get that. I've played the series quite a bit and the demo for this one felt pretty good. Ninja Theory makes some pretty quality stuff (Heavenly Sword, Enslaved) and I think (hope) they will do right by the DMC games. Capcom turned Resident Evil 6 and Dead Rising 2 over to out-of-house developers as well, so it's not like this is a thing they are only doing with DMC. I've heard pretty mixed things about RE 6 (haven't played it yet), but I did enjoy Dead Rising 2.

Ecnalzen 12.24.12	Ha ha, I've heard mostly mixed to bad things about RE 6. I love 4, and 5 was alright even tho they took out all the horror elements and made it all action.
Ecnalzen 12.24.12	Zombies that can operate machine guns? Now that sounds like something new. It was the RE Operation Raccoon City game (which I've also heard kind of sucks) that I was thinking of that they used a Western developer, not RE 6.

Ecnalzen 12.24.12	I kind of miss Mega Man. He hasn't gotten a new game in a long time. Which is weird since they used to make them all the damn time. We went from too much Mega Man to pretty much no Mega Man.
