Friday13th 04.15.14	Voting on these two ends Thursday afternoon. Finally getting around to Space Shanty and it is a monster. 4-4.5
SCREAM! 04.15.14	Gave each of these a listen already and it'll prob go to Khan but they'll require another listen for sure
mandan 04.15.14	I've already heard 1 and it's amazing. Need to check 2 for sure before I can make a decision.
manosg 04.15.14	2 is awesome but I haven't listened to 1 yet. I should change that.

zakalwe 04.15.14	lol. I've only heard bits and pieces of these and both seem great. 1 is a bit South American pipe players doing their thing in any UK High Street circa '95. Whatever happened to those???
MrSirLordGentleman 04.15.14	Fact, these 2 are the best albums in competition, this is the most interesitng and toughest match. Probably Khan's gonna win (it's easier to get into them) but I think my vote will go to Los Jaivas, album is just perfect for me

mandan 04.15.14	Finally jamming Khan. Gonna be a hard call, this one.
mandan 04.15.14	Not even 10 minutes in and I'm enjoying it hard. Yeah, I think Khan has a bigger chance of winning this round. Quite a few people won't get Los Jaivas due to the Latin elements and stuff.
mandan 04.15.14	The vocals are the only thing that might bring Khan down for me.
SCREAM! 04.15.14	Gonna have to go with Khan. Although Los Jaivas has some truly stunning moments, the Latin elements are a little too much for my personal taste.

MrSirLordGentleman 04.15.14	The disadvantage for me with Khan (asides with the vocals) is the originality, of course, it's a great album, but it sounds just like Camel, I have the same problem with Druid and Yes, Los Jaivas on the other hand have a way more fresh sound imo

Jethro42 04.16.14	Los Jaivas; I have to try to be not afraid of the language barrier. I tolerate very well Italian so why not giving a try. Also, the whole thing sounds very exotic to my ear and I'm not sure if it plays for me or against me. And what I hear so far from Khan is a bunch of scattered jams like the Canturbury Scene knows to do. It sounds not enough structured for me so far. There are some good sparse ideas though. It could make a difference. Also Steve Hillage is an incredible guitarist.

mandan 04.16.14	I gave Khan a hard 4. Issues with the vocals and the fact that it doesn't feel all that original prevented me from giving a higher rating. I only 4.5 albums which I feel have some degree of replay value, and I don't feel Khan has that as far as I'm concerned.

mandan 04.16.14	I used to dish out ratings more carelessly in the past, but I'm a lot pickier these days. A 4 still means the album is decent though, but might have a couple imperfections. 3.5 means the album is quite flawed, 3 means the album is barely redeemable, 2.5 usually means I like half to less than half of it, and from 2 onwards means I think it sucks.
Jethro42 04.16.14	Quite similar to mine. It's only that I have much more recognition to an album when I give it a 4. In my book, a 4 could be more easily changed to a 4.5, and very rarely to a 3.5.
mandan 04.16.14	Well, yeah, some 4's have bigger chances to get bumped than others for me. It all depends on the album in question, also how I feel about the artist plays a part as well.
Friday13th 04.16.14	I give out 4.0's like it's nobody's business, so it's probably the least telling of my ratings. I have to think long and hard before I bump it to 4.5 though.

Friday13th 04.16.14	Actually I just voted for Los Jaivas above in Spanish haha. I do like Khan a lot, it's just I probably prefer Alturas over my own pick Heresie.

Salvidian 04.16.14	On the preliminary he says you are peer approve but I don't recall any of that happening. I'm guessing he either a) dropped/forgot about it b) did it in secret or c) contestants were accepted according to if they contributed an album or not. But it was vague so I don't know.
