menawati
02.21.14 | 6 is brutal voivod (at least by my wimpy standards), riviere i've only heard cluster2 and i like it, as for magma i need to listen more, K.A. is great and some of their first ones i like too |
JS19
02.21.14 | Get a load into Krautrock and Zeuhl during my prog years but can't stay anything stuck that much. Still jam Amon Duul and Magma from time to time though |

02.21.14 | Although its an average album, Scorpions's debut should be mentioned as well. Good list. |
organizedsound
02.22.14 | massive props for 3 |
MisterTornado
02.22.14 | Mena you should wear Toy's latest album Join the Dots; some really fantastic modern Krautrock. |
Friday13th
02.22.14 | Most people consider Electronic bands like Kraftwerk and Tangerine Dream krautrock. lol It's quite a stretch to call Scorpions
kraurock, but it isn't a genre either. The term was originally just a derogatory label used by British critics for avant-garde
bands from Germany that sprang up in the late 60s/early 70s. Scorpions and Accept don't fit at all with the other bands, but
hey, who's to draw the line. |
JamieTwort
02.22.14 | lol obviuosly Accept weren't krautrock but Scorpions fit the tag just fine in their early days. They were pretty experimental and psychedelic on their debut. |
Chrisjon89
02.22.14 | 14 is amazing - my favourite of the 4 Can albums I have. had a quick sticky beak at 1 on YouTube and seems good so will jam soon. |

menawati
02.24.14 | "The term was originally just a derogatory label used by British critics for avant-garde bands from Germany that sprang up in the late 60s/early 70s"

Friday13th

Digging Popol Vuh and Ash Ra Tempel now. |

02.25.14 | I think the Germans use another term for the genre, something in their language. If anyone on here is German they can maybe let us know how they call the genre. |
