06.18.13 | like I wasn't going to do THAT, but overall atmosphere of the song and personal feelings and that junk.
I was also going to make it track by track but not in "traditional" form, like make it in a flowing paragraph or so |

give an update of how the song changes every 30 seconds and how it affects you physically, spiritually and mentally. Make sure you elaborate and use lots of words that are completely outside of your vocabulary or would otherwise prove to be incredibly awkward when used in conversation. Godspeed. |

06.18.13 | Depends on the album. Albums that have very diverse tracks could benefit from a track by track review like that. Radiohead's Hail to the Thief comes to mind, but generally reviews like that aren't as strong as ones that focus on the overall picture |
Trebor.
06.18.13 | Most albums aren't worth mentioning every track, unless you do it in a rapid fire type way within structured paragraphs that are actually about things |

no no no, it's so much better to actually discuss why it's diverse in paragraph form instead of just going:
The album is very diverse:
Track 1. It's great
Track 2. It's different than 1
Track 3. It starts off all good and then gets better, different from tracks 1 and 2
Track 4: Wow what a track, so unique, definitely different than tracks 1 and 2 and 3

06.18.13 | I really think you should write a 5 paragraph essay for each track. Make sure to develop and reinforce an original thesis statement for each one or I will neg you from afar. |

06.18.13 | Unless there's only a few songs on the whole album like a gy!be album, then no, not really. It's much better to give a general feel of the album and pick standouts to describe as examples. Track by tracks are just clunky and generally unpleasant and uninteresting to read. |
Mister Twister
06.18.13 | I did that for my first review. I still need to re-write that. Moved into the typical essay format for my second review, Abstract Symphony by Majestic, which I graded a 5. It's hard to write a 5 review without it being gushing, but I tried. |

06.18.13 | I decided not to write a track-by-track review because Sputnik seems to hate being productive and prefers shallow half-assed opinions about albums. Liberi Fatali
06.18.13 | If you care about pos/neg ratings then don't do a track by track. But if it gets you started and into the swing of reviewing, then do it. |

06.18.13 | Don't do a track by track.
Also, don't have spelling errors like "justicfiable". |

06.18.13 | I was actually gonna follow Trebor and do "Maybe I'll Catch Fire" by Alkaline Trio
and I was going to write it in flowing paragraph format but try to talk about every track, even for a sentence. |

06.18.13 | Even if they're incredibly well written you get negs from them anyway so just don't do tbt reviews. I know from my past experiences. |
