Arche's crusty NYP van returns

God I hope this doesn't break on posting. Hope you guys find something to like on here!
Beyond All Light

Shit-off-a-shovel black metal:
Anchoress is Ruining My Life

Really neat metalcore/post-hardcore. Vocals are a smidge unique but pretty easy to get used to:
3Armenian Institute of Dance and Folklore

You know those mornings when you wake up and want some Armenian folk music to dance to? Wish granted. There's Bulgarian and Greek ones too, but this is my favourite:
4Arrows In Her
It Tired Me All The Same

Twinkly emo for twinkly times:

Spanish post-rock. I mean, you already have a reasonable idea how this is gonna sound but it's still really good stuff -
6Bike Path
Blonde + Blue

St. Louis emo/post-hardcore. Some of this is better than other bits, but the bits that are good are really, really good -
7Black Tomb
Black Tomb

Filthy doom riffs and equally filthy vocals. Great fun if nowt else -
Lathi Charge

Check my review for (a bit more) info, but basically Nepalese grindcore that tears faces -

Really cool folky, trip-hoppy stuff. Can't remember who introduced me to this, but thanks! -

Furious blackgaze. Not a colossal amount stands out, but it's really solid stuff nevertheless -
Moving Away

I think this has some shoegaze influence but tbh I don't really know. Really nice, fuzzy rock/post-grunge/gaze/whatever -

Cool funeral doom/drone/psych-y stuff from Hong Kong. Google Translate tells me the title translates to 'Forwarder' but if anybody speaks fluent Cantonese and wants to tell me otherwise, I'm all ears. -
Narrow The Way

Awesome little mathy emotional hardcore EP -

Awesome little mathy emotional hardcore EP [2]. Check out Pursuant as well, got released earlier this year -
Lily (The Wilt)

Really nice glitchy/downtempo stuff (I dunno tbh) from Pots, I believe -
Kometen Kommer

If you like Hawkwind, you'll like this. Read my convoluted, round-about review on it for possibly a bit more info -
As It Were

Perhaps not the most original on this list, but As It Were is some great twinkly emo -

I'm not gonna embarrass myself by guessing the genre, but MercuryToHell's electronic project keeps improving with every release -

Thanks to Mort for getting me on this unhinged, gloriously aggy piece of hardcore -
20Nature Trails
In Glass

Coldwave, 80s worship from Melbourne, Australia. Faithful but no less great -
21Nionde Plågan

A kinda screamo/hardcore/post-metal behemoth, this is rapidly becoming one of my favourite albums from 2015 -
22Omega Massif

Given I've been listening to this for probably 6 years now, I can't believe it's not been on one of my lists yet. Really, really great instrumental post-metal, probably one of the finest of its kind -

While its name is clearly designed to make the listener hate everything, this blend of black metal and hardcore is, basically, nuts. One to strap yourself in for -
24Shrine Of Insanabilis
Disciples Of The Void

Really good example of the vaguely occult end of the black metal spectrum. Riffs excellently, not solely relying on immemorable tremolo picks (and tbh, even the tremolo-picked sections here are catchy) -
25Silent Whale Becomes a Dream

One 16 minute song, I put this on here as it's a great example of sad, shimmering post-rock. -

Requires A LOT of time (stretching over 2 hours), but really interesting droney metal. insomniac's review tells it way better -
27The Psyke Project

I reviewed Guillotine back in the summer, but I'll be damned if this doesn't absolutely destroy as well. Sludgey, hardcore, pissed-off goodness -
28The Wayward

Weird stuff. Still taking this one in, but it's kinda bouncy noise rock/grind/experimental stuff I guess. Their moniker is somewhat fitting, really -
29Viva Belgrado

So I only found out today these guys have a new one out. Haven't listened yet, but Flores, Carne is a wonderful, wonderful screamo album and I'm sure this will be equally as amazing -
30Witch of the Waste
Made Of Teeth

Blackened hardcore with an emphasis on the hardcore (for once!) -
In the Court of Nyarlathotep

Thanks to pissbore for getting me on this one. Blackened death with excellent, EXCELLENT vocals -
