Just graduated yesterday, so now its time for a list of the major albums responsible for getting me into heavy music over these past four years.
1Demon Hunter
Summer of Darkness

One of the first metal bands I ever heard. this album got me used to the heavy sound of metal.
2As I Lay Dying
Shadows are Security

Thought this album was the heaviest thing ever when I first heard it. Oh how times have changed. still love this album.
3Avenged Sevenfold
Avenged Sevenfold

Not a fan of this album anymore, but i loved it back in freshman year.
4Linkin Park
Hybrid Theory

One of the first albums I ever liked in any genre. Got me interested in what music sounds like when guitars are downtuned any music is loud and aggressive.
Define the Great Line

The band that got me into screaming itself. I wouldnt give screaming music a chance until I heard this album, and now its one of my favorites.
6Linkin Park

Similar story to this that Hybrid Theory has.
Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)

One of my favorite albums way back in middle school/9th grade. its grown off me a lot, but i still give duality and vermillion a spin every once in a while.
8 Underoath
They're Only Chasing Safety

Another album by my favorite band atm. not as big of a fan of this album as I used to be, but i still kind of like it.
9Avenged Sevenfold
City of Evil

Their best album tied with Waking the Fallen, this album shows some of the unrealized potential that a7x has somewhere inside them.
10Bullet for My Valentine
The Poison

A guilty pleasure of mine even today. 4 words to choke upon was probably the first metalcoreish song i heard (because of madden 06 haha)

My favorite band in 8th grade. this album brings back lots of middle school memories. still listen to it every now and then even thor it has gron off me a lot.
End of Silence

A pretty good album. Loved this in middle school, still love it now.
Ten Thousand Fists

I used to be a huge Disturbed fan, but that has changed. This and Down With the Sickness are the only albums i can still remotely stand by them. theyre not the worst band ever, but they get so repetitive sometimes.

Used to be a big fan of this album, but it has also grown off me considerably. Its not a bad release by any means, but it just doesnt hold my attention anymore.
15August Burns Red

Loved this when I first heard it, still love it now. Used to listen to Composure before almost every football game I played in.
