We'll Never Explore The Universe

Until recently, I've only heard of galaxies and stars that are a few thousand light years away from Earth. You'd think 'hey, if we could go 20 or so light years into the Universe, the ones 1000s of light years of away aren't such a big deal'.. or I did at least. Anyway, I learned that the furthest thing in the Universe from us is actually almost 14 BILLION light years away! HOLY $#!T THAT MEANS THAT EVEN AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT, IT WOULD TAKE NEARLY 14 BILLION YEARS TO GET THERE!! Love outer-space.
