Bless The Martyr, And Kiss The Child

This album was just pure noise before I really could comprehend the then-complexity of it. It was the first time I really heard a breakdown and probably the last time I ever want to hear one.
4Alkaline Trio
From Here To Infirmary

I wasn't allowed to listen to any music that wasn't "Christian", but those rules eased up around high school at which time I really liked hearing this first track simply for the line "...doing fucked up shit".
Read Music/Speak Spanish

I went through my Bright Eyes phase just like everyone else, but this album is just a perfect 10 from start to finish and remains one of my favorite albums of all time. I remember listening to it and thinking, "I want my guitar to sound like THAT!".
2The Anniversary
Designing For a Nervous Breakdown

I used to steal my ex brother-in-law's albums and I chose this at first because I liked the cover.

You probably didn't know me in high school, but I started my sophomore year as a little tie-wearing Rivers Cuomo wannabe. This album came out that year I believe and I still feel it is their most overlooked work.
