11.19.16 | Ebo Taylor - Life Stories...: awesome world music, afrobeats and good vibes, hard not to jive to it
Various Artists - Tribal Music of Australia: really cool glimpse into ancient music. not sure how accurate it is but apparently in aboriginal culture you need the acceptance of the music shaman dude (forgot the real term lol) to perform any music on the lands. so this album is indigenous Australians from the Yirrkala district being overseen by this figure, and recorded for the western world. if you dig Exuma, you might like this even tho its not in english
Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan - Musst Musst: one of my favorite world music singers, he sings Qawwali and his voice and passion is just absolutely phenomenal. Musst Musst just happens to be my fav album of his that i've heard
Also try this link, its one of my favorite live studio performances i've ever heard. he's related to Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan. the western and eastern vibe mixes perfectly, and the brooding atmosphere is just whoa. and that vocal intro is just absolutely goosebump delivering. the drumming is probs closest to what your looking for:

but my guess is that you're looking for more metal recs like Tool that incorperate tribal beats, and not authentic tribal rhythms. either way, try this out! all of the percussion is tribal based and really neat | rodrigo90
