| Bands That Dissapointed
With these bands, I became very excited before going to see, only to be disappointed for different reasons. | 1 | Social Distortion
I was really excited to see what would be the oldest punk band I had seen to that point. I was a fan of social distortion, and had a good understanding of their discography, yet when they took stage they seemed washed up, and the songs all sounded the same. | 2 | Mastodon
I was upset when I found out that Opeth would be headlining the Opeth & Mastadon show in my town, yet now I am quite glad they did. Mastodon's music was impeccable, seemed almost straight off the record, yet they were so dry on stage. They didn't talk to the crowd at all, and didn't mix anything up. It was a good performance, but I was still disappointed. | 3 | The Gaslight Anthem
I had heard so much good about this band, only to listen to boring music for an hour. | 4 | Cake
I love this band, to me, cake is ska that is accessible to almost anyone. That's why it was sad to see Cake play at in my area and watch them put on such a poor performance. They tried to get the crowd too involved when it was obvious the crowd didn't know the words to some obscure song off of God knows what album. | 5 | Blue October
Yes, I was excited to see the band with the infinitely creepy "Dirt Room" song, and the pretty good album "Foiled" live. The singer honestly sounded like he smoked 10 packs a day for 45 years. It was horrible, and I left to get water. | 6 | Neon Trees
I have had the unfortunate experience of seeing this band twice. Both times, they have plaid close to the headliner and weirded me out. The singer gave a huge bully speech, took off his shoes, wiped his feet all over the monitors, and then proceed to strut his @#!*% all over the stage. The music wasn't bad, but that band overall was a disappointment. | |

10.15.12 | Mastodon* | Sirob
10.15.12 | 1. just edit the list
2. I will trade you any concert experience of my entire life to see the gaslight anthem
3. Chili peppers were disappointing to me even though they're one of my favorite bands ever. I think it was mostly because I had to see them in a massive stadium so there was no intimacy.

10.15.12 | #2 is a lie... | SgtPepper
10.15.12 | I caught the Opeth/Mastodon tour myself.
They both tore down the house. One of the best concerts I've been to. | neurisis17

| slimdaddy
10.15.12 | Ghost was AMAZING when i saw them. @Sirob, I really just don't understand the following for them. I would gladly trade Red Hot Chili Peppers, haha | peaks40
10.15.12 | 2 is definitely a lie, rhcp were great i saw them this year and theres a lot of energy | slimdaddy
10.15.12 | I just pictured mastodon to be so much more different. Ghost was great, and Opeth was heavenly. | peaks40
10.15.12 | opeth is most def heavenly, im surprised for social distortion | slimdaddy
10.15.12 | That was my largest bummer. Excited wasn't a good enough word. I went in with 100% hopes and they just were washed up. If you want to hear an old punk band that still knows how to rock, The Descendents rocked my brain a few weeks ago. | peaks40
10.15.12 | and also gaslight anthem i hoped better of | Sirob
10.15.12 | i guess my expectations for rhcp were just so high that I was let down by anything less than perfection | slimdaddy
10.15.12 | they just weren't my cup of tea. I went in never listening to them before so I might be off on that opinion. | peaks40
10.15.12 | aw okay, cause on jimmy fallon they were cool | Trebor.
10.15.12 | Social distortion are pretty boring yeah | Sirob

Yeah, I did. It was quite frankly the best concert of my life, only tied to The Mars Volta during the Bedlam tour. | necromechanical

10.16.12 | @sirab, no i don't live in detroit, hahaha | theXCAL1BUR
12.15.13 | Blue October sounded amazing live! His voice is really rough, and some people don't like that as much (ex. Argue with a Tree - Amnesia). It can get very smooth as well, I think Justin has an amazing voice, and I love the music of Blue October. Once again, it's not for everyone. |
