03.01.18 | It's really good man, better than the first EP I think and I already really dug that one! Midwinter Nights is particularly beautiful. |

03.01.18 | Yeah this is really awesome as usual |
DungeonBoy
03.01.18 | Thanks guys. @SAPoodle, the first EP was more of a demo for me just trying to put out some ideas I had. I felt it came together well, but the recording techniques and ideas were a bit primitive. This new one is a lot more focused and as always I learned a lot in the process. Also my good friend recorded some amazing cello parts which really helped elevate the music I think.
How's everything going with you? Any new tunes you're working on? I still really dig that last Claustrophobia track you did. |
SAPoodle
03.01.18 | @DungeonBoy Well, it didn't sound like a demo to me! Was pretty great already but I agree that this new one is more focused and well put-together. The cello is a great addition too. I've got some new music I'm working on, a short full-length album consisting of loops and samples and stuff but it's mostly a lot lighter and more chilled out than that previous EP, with the exception of one track which is perhaps even a bit darker. Thanks for the support man, I feel super amateurish compared to you haha! |

03.01.18 | Diving into this today. I'm really looking forward to hearing it! |
Atari
03.01.18 | sounds lovely so far. Is there a concept behind your music at all besides just conveying the beauty of nature? |
DungeonBoy
03.01.18 | Thanks guys! @Atari, man, that's a good question, I wrote and recorded this EP from November to February, and my main focus was to try and channel the winter sound and emotions into a cohesive EP. There is the natural aspect of it which I think mainly has to do with my feelings towards using acoustic instruments and minimal effects, but I also think my music is a little less neofolk/folk oriented than a lot of similar acts, and more as a release and capture of my own feelings than a tribute to the spirits of the woods if that makes sense. |

03.02.18 | Well that’s funny, I just saw your EP popping up in my Youtube subscription feed through this channel : https://youtu.be/KRvSFcQhYxs

03.02.18 | Thanks guys! @Vildh yeah man, In the Woods is a great channel and I'm very honored and appreciative that they shared the new EP. |
Atari
03.02.18 | @Dungeon, right on - thanks for explaining! the production and the overall sound on the new EP is just lovely. Enjoyed it more than any of Nhor's EP's last year I'd say, so that's definitely saying something! better than a lot of other albums in the genre honestly. was an easy 4, but could see it going higher |
DungeonBoy
03.02.18 | As someone who holds Nhor's work in high regard, this is a wonderful and much appreciated compliment. Thank you! |
Atari
03.02.18 | Nhor's probably not the best example considering your sound is quite different. Just enjoying it more than anything in the genre I've heard over the past year :] I like the length too. Woodfall is nice but it's a little on the long side. This is gorgeous and not a moment is wasted |
Beardog
03.04.18 | Wow cello is such a great addition. Listening to this now and I'm already impressed by the first melody... this is wonderful |
manosg
03.04.18 | Yeah this is beautiful - major props, man. The use of cello is a great idea.
Favorite tracks are Hibernal and Woodland Refuge. Especially on Hibernal I got some Lake of Tears - Forever Autumn vibes which is always a good thing for me. |
