Story goes that a bunch of folks from 4chan started watching MLP not expecting it to be good...but it was. So then it caught on in /co/, where it exploded across the internet like a twelve-year-old's wet dream (to the point where even fucking 4CHAN couldn't handle how pervasive it had gotten).
In all seriousness...it's a good cartoon with six well-rounded characters, interesting and genuinely funny dialogue, and filled to the brim with shout outs and references to all sorts of things (from Looney Tunes and Batman, to The A-Team and even Benny Hill). Not bad for what ultimately amounts to a 26-part toy commercial meant for 7-year-old girls. |
