Current Hardcore Trip

Never could get into straight up Hardcore, but as of recently I can't get enough of it. I know some of these aren't Hardcore, but their roots are still planted in the genre. And fuck, that's what I have you guys for anyways to lead me in the right direction.
6CityCop
Seasons

Why did it take so long for acoustic and screamed vocals to come together like this? Its fucking amazing, its ruthless and calm at the same time. I fucking love it.
5Pianos Become the Teeth
The Lack Long After

When I first saw this on Best New Music I thought it had an awesome album cover. Went to youtube and listened only to sadden myself that it wasn't what I'd hoped for. I listen now, and I think that it is the band that has the most upside in my opinion. 'Good Times' is possibly one of my favorite songs, not just within the genre, but of all time.
4Defeater
Travels

Never listened to this until now, but I remember seeing the cover of Empty Days and Sleepless Nights and thinking about how it reminded me of TDAGARIM, so I clicked on it only to see Touche Amore listed as a similar band. I made a quick 180 and said, fuck thattt. Listened to 'Travels' and ED&SN recently and I loved both. Though the concept is basically copied on ED&SN, I didn't think that too much of a good thing was bad.
3Touche Amore
...To The Beat of a Dead Horse

Touche Amore is a band who I read their name and album name and immediantly thought that they were going to be badass. When I listened, I was like, "WHAT THE UFCK NO CLEAN VOCALS??" ( Keep in mind, this is also when I thought ...In Shallow Seas We Sail was the GOAT of post-hardcore.) Now I appreciate the ferociousness of it. It's like a knock out punch packed into a single album. Though I will admit I feel like the lyrics are a bit immature at times, but fuck me right.
2La Dispute
Somewhere at the Bottom of the River...

This was an album that when I first listened to it about 2 years ago, I actually enjoyed; more than likely because the lead singer sounded reminiscent of Aaron Weiss. But after listening to it past the 4th track, I became really annoyed with Dreyer, I just wanted him to shut the fuck up, I want to hear the instrumentals. Now I actually really enjoy everything about it. I love his quirkyness and the never-knowing-when he is going to scream or talk. The instrumentals are great as well, the melodic sections are just great imo. Almost rated this a 5, but choose against it. Still haven't decided yet, but I'm probably leaning towards a 4.5

Age: 17. 2nd Listen: Man, this album is a piece of shit[2]
Now, Age 19, 3rd listen: My God... this is mind blowing. I really fucking hate how long my taste takes to develop.
