| 2013 Surprises
The surprise albums this year(for me, at least) | 1 | | The Story So Far What You Don't See
No sophomore slump here; Parker Cannon tells us why he is the the Pop-Punk standard with every belted chorus and strained vocal. | 2 | | Justin Timberlake The 20/20 Experience
While I didn't expect this to be horrid, I also didn't expect it to be this good of course, if Jessica Biel was my inspiration for making a love album, this is probably what it would sound like. | 3 | | Senses Fail Renacer
With all due reason to flop with all their other Post-Hardcore companions of the 2000's, Senses Fail emphatically says, "We are still here" with this hardcore release. Much more heavy, focused release. | 4 | | Clutch Earth Rocker
While I didn't expect much, this came as quite the shocker for me. I figured Clutch would never equal their ''Rock-Gods" status achieved with Blast Tyrant. Boy, was I wrong, for I have still yet to conclude whether this is equal or better than Blast Tyrant. | 5 | | Silverstein This Is How The Wind Shifts
Again, as with Senses Fail, I figured this was the album that would finally kill off Silverstein. Rather, this is the album that very well may define them. While not leaving any path traveled before, this is a very tight constructed and passionate release. | 6 | | Bad Religion True North
Just when I'm about to write-off Bad Religion as one of the Punk bands from the 80's and 90's that just won't die(see: NOFX) they release True North. This furious molding of both old-school and new-school styles of punk is well worth a listen. | 7 | | My Chemical Romance Conventional Weapons
This, for every reason, should have been horrible. And while it is no where near amazing, it is formidable and, ironically, the best thing the newly broken-up band has put together. At least they ended on a good note. | |

04.01.13 | Yeah, I was surprised how bad all of those were as well. Usually those groups just put out mediocre albums. This year, they all really surpassed themselves in terms of suckiness. It's good to know that other people share the same opinions that I have. |
