But... the more I think about it and the closer we get, if Cowboy is expected to lose (and, largely, he is) I kind want him to just fucking go for it. Knock Conor McGregor out, beat him at his own game. If you get caught? Big deal. Cowboy's stock isn't going to drop. If you catch him? Stock rises. Brain says shoot. Heart says fuck it YEEEEHAW.
EphemeralEternity 01.17.20	See I feel like boxing has more of an element of prestige and civility to it, and films are more distant coz they’re fictional even if based on a true story - and I will say that 99% of people I’ve seen in UFC merch have gave off clear vibes of being pugnacious dickheads... But yeah, I gues it’s a similar story to football hooliganism with how the sport attracts aggressive shit heads who go against the ethos of it.
Josh D. 01.17.20	I feel like I'm leaning McGregor. He seems so unsettingly different (for now), and it's making me take him at his word with regards to his discipline and everything. Cowboy has been clipped before, and although he's a good striker, Connor's length and mastery of distance has me picturing a TKO in 2 or 3.

EphemeralEternity 01.17.20	I’m always shocked at how poor the fighting style and technique is for 99% of street fights - it’s as though they’ve never even heard of boxing or mma... I thought keeping the guard up, chin down and primarily straight punches would be common knowledge for almost everyone

dbizzles 01.17.20	Need to see the tale of the tape. I think Conor will get an early TKO. But, like a lot of people, I give Cowboy a better chance later on. If he can weather the storm like he did against Hernandez who came out pressing hard, I think he will have success on the feet. One thing I keep forgetting is that Cowboy doesn't have really any worry about being taken down so all kicks are free game. Conor knows he doesn't want that smoke on the ground. Pretty much everyone pays for taking Cowboy down so even trying to shoot with anymore time than like 20 seconds in a round is a terrible idea for McGregor unless he's hurt. EDIT: I don't think so, Notrap. It will depend on how much he exerts in 1 and 2, but I'd guess that power is tuned way down by the third if we get there.

dbizzles 01.17.20	Curious how she does in the rematch. I like high-stakes WMMA, but mostly because that's where the talent is. Hardly any depth or power anywhere, which gives me more respect for fighters like Aldana, Nunes, Schevchenko, etc. Typically not rushing to see any WMMA undercard fights.

Shes just one of those woman who annoy me with her cringey winks and shit to the camera. Hope zheng wrecks her. Waterson is a no mark like 95% of womens MMA. Card is insanely weak indeed. Still quite a big pop for Conor but nowhere near what it has been in the past and nowhere close to as many Irish usually travel. No doubt hes took a hit. Needs to keep this nice guy act up. Money isnt an issue but people caring whether you fight is. Think he gets it done in 2 also

I‘ve already had the opportunity to see some interviews and documentaries of JJ and she looks like a nice lady. It's a weak card indeed, but I'm also interested in seeing the preacher's daughter, and Pettis is also a good fighter. McGregor needs to redeem himself, period. That punch to the old man will not be so easily forgotten, It's his honor that's at stake.

The perfect game place from Dana as usual regarding Mcgregor . Having to hear him (Dana) talk about Khabib - Mac 2 would be Ali-Frazier level is so fucking cringeworthy. Talking about both their legacies. A rematch with Conor does NOTHING for Khabibs legacy he already dismantled him. IF he gets past Tony any way. Where you had to pay people in the states to send me VHS recordings! Most people dont remember how hard it was to convince the public it was legit. How it wasnt like boxing with belts all over the place. Its was martial artists testing themselves against fellow martial artists. Of course it then became everything it said it wasnt more and more WWE and the Martial arts aspect of it got lost more and more. Now because of those years where they shoehorned Mcgregor in to the 'double champ ' narrative while other champs over the years they werent allowed to do so was right for business but wrong for the sport. He then doesnt defend EITHER belt for over a year both times while fighters are earning title shots but 'arent good enough on the mic' or dont do enough numbers?? Working all there life up the rankings. Now more and more rankings and belts are meaningless and you can only belittle that shit for so song until theres no going back and I dont know where that leaves you.
