The trilogy was also noted by critics for its conceptual monochromatic cover art, with 1 being blue, 2 being red, and 3 being yellow.[9]

skramz comebacks RANKED

no argument it is done.
9Gospel
MVDM: Magick Volumes Of Dark Madder

however many minutes of gospel's most boring indulgent side - acceptable novelty release. arguably better than 8 but not much else
8Jeromes Dream
LP

LP plays out like a really fascinatingly messy case of damage control and um i think it's endearing and kinda fun in a broken way? but also not a Great record discuss
7Gospel
The Loser

too janked up on bad prog inspirations for its own good, but somewhat impressive when it hits. has not aged particularly well.
6Circle Takes the Square
Decompositions: Volume Number One

the entirety of Rites of Initiation + one ripper + one random af folk epic + songs that exist. acceptable sophomore album.
5Circle Takes the Square
Rites of Initiation

this uh, was flawed? and has probably aged dubiously? probably the most stylistically ambitious thing on this list, which in this case entails a large amount of slack. opener is somewhat unfortunate closer is somewhat underrated and um when it's on it's on
4City of Caterpillar
Driving Spain Up A Wall

gonna say that Mystic Sisters was the true comeback and this was a momentous foot in the door. t/t is absolutely huge and should be the envy of every other band on this list
3Envy
The Fallen Crimson

technically not a comeback but very much an everyone-forgot-this-band existed. the rippers rip and the pretty songs are gorgeous until suddenly there are too many of them. solid 4/5 material
2Jeromes Dream
The Gray In Between

this uh kinda heavily fucks? shit kicks teeth for days. short and sweet like photograph of something ugly wham bam not enough scope to top the list fuck you
1City of Caterpillar
Mystic Sisters

no question about it this glorious murky thing will consume you all
