F*ck "djent"

Every band with a downtuned, 7 string Ibanez guitar wants to play this "djent" style, but most of them are either just playing song- length breakdowns or downtuned Meshuggah riffs. List is real/fake "djent."

Periphery (Instrumental)

I consider this to be real djent in the style of djent-overlords Meshuggah.
Good shit.
7Uneven Structure
Februus

Same as Periphery, but a lot better. These guys nailed the sound and are
my favorite djent-style band not named Meshuggah.
8TesseracT

Not djent. Playing polyrhythm chugs every 5 minutes with way too much
melody means you are poserdjent.
9After the Burial
Rareform (Re-release)

Not djent. Cool rhythm section and tons of melody but strays too far from
the path of the overlords to be considered Meshuggah-worthy.
10Cloudkicker
Beacons

Enjoyable semi-djent. Dude is a musical genius.
