08.03.11 | If you’re feeling really adventurous check out some Veles. I try and recommend this band to pretty much everyone as they don’t seem to get nearly enough attention. They aren’t the typical “melodic black metal” band in that they don’t have crystal clear production, nor influences from heavy or death metal, but are melodic in a folky medieval type sense that’s there beneath the ugliness. “Night On the Bare Mountain” is probably a great place to start and a personal favorite of mine. |
