Top 10 Death Metal Vocalists

Obviously down to interpretation but here I'm mostly going on the quality of their death metal vocals, cleans might be a small factor but aren't too important.
1Pestilence
Consuming Impulse

Martin Van Drunen - Not a hard choice. Pretty much no other vocalist can convey the anguished and frightening sounds of the genre as this guy, and his generally frenzied sound easily secures him as the best
2Bloodbath
Nightmares Made Flesh

Peter Tagtgren - probably the vocalist with the strongest vocals across his whole vocal range; guttural mids and lows and excellent shrieks.
3Bolt Thrower
...For Victory

Karl Willetts - It's difficult to describe what's so great about this guy, but his general ferocity pretty much defines Bolt Thrower, if any one single instrumental aspect could be selected.
4Immolation
Close To A World Below

Ross Dolan - Probably defines the evil sound of death metal. Not particularly varied in his range but utterly flawless lows.
5Cryptopsy
None So Vile

Lord Worm - Utterly brutal and impossible to decipher, his vocals still stand the test of time as some of the most entertaining.
6Demilich
Nespithe

Antti Boman - Boman's ridiculously low, gurgling vocal style is simultaneously one of the most repulsive and entertaining in the genre
7Bloodbath
The Fathomless Mastery

Michael Akerfeldt - Possessing some of the better clean voices in metal as well as excellent guttural lows, Michael probably outright qualifies as one of the best vocalists in metal as a whole.
8Dismember
Like An Everflowing Stream

Matti Karki - while his style is more shouty than the majority of vocalists on this list, his aggressive mid range style is probably the most enjoyable from the old school Swedish death metal scene.
9Death
Human

Chuck Schuldiner - Probably the biggest contributor to the death metal scene, Chuck excelled at both higher and mid registers.
10Obituary
Cause Of Death

John Tardy - Likely the most iconic vocalist from the Florida scene, his guttural, nauseous vocals are one of Obituary's highlights.
