I agree, Alcest are not really "atmospheric black"- i feel they are inappropriately categorized as such... and i am not comparing them directly to Emperor, I am just using that particular album (which is grossly overrated- and i used to love it!) as it was one of first exposures to the "atmospheric" side of BM many moons ago. And wolfhorde-- i eat "kvltsters" for breakfast.
