It's Been A While, Sputnik...

I haven't posted on here since the day before I graduated High School, thought I'd hop back on and see what's what. Please excuse some of my previous musical opinions. I was in High School. And an idiot. These right here, these are my digs. Checkit.
1Drake
Take Care

Possibly my favorite album of 2011. I realize that in the past, Drake may
have made some pretty annoying music (or at least I thought so), but this
album impressed the hell out of me. It's been my biggest dig since it
dropped, and I don't see that changing any time soon.
2Converge
Petitioning the Empty Sky

I've loved this band for so long, it just takes a certain mood to rekindle my
feelings.
3Eyehategod
Dopesick

Got to see these guys at the A389 Records anniversary bash. Got there
late, got in free, gotta love EHG. That rhyme was unintentional.
4 K-Rino
Stories From the Black Book

One of the most underrated MC's out there. First listen to this album blew
my mind, and it hasn't stopped doing so since.
5Burzum
Filosofem

Didn't get black metal. Listened to this album. It all makes sense now.
6 Salem
King Knight

Some people don't like this band, and I don't understand some people.
Everything from the footwurk snares to the screwed down vocals just
amazes me. It didn't take long for this album to become one of my
favorites.
7Three 6 Mafia
Mystic Stylez

This, along with the next three releases from the triple 6 crew are some of
my favorite southern rap works. The creepy satanic vibe on this album is
really cool to hear considering where these guys, especially Juicy J, are
today.
8Death In June
Rose Clouds of Holocaust

Yeah, Douglas Pearce is kind of a shitty dude. But this groups aesthetic
appeal is undeniable, and the music, on this album particularly, is very
interesting. Fascism as porn, maybe. Great album, undeniably.
9I Hate Myself
10 Songs

Something about an emo dude screaming kamehameha just makes me
smile. It helps that the rest of the album is awesome as well.
10 Murder By Death
Who Will Survive and What Will Be Left Of Them

I was aware of this band for a long time because one of my friends was
always shitting her pants over them. Eventually I got her to show me what
was so great about them, and the opening track on this album and Spring
Break 1899 off of Red of Tooth and Claw did it. Now I'm hooked.
