| Foos Ranked
Been so obsessed with Foo lately. Had to make this list. | 7 | | Foo Fighters One By One
"All my Life I've been searching for somethin, somethin never comes, never leads to nothin..." What a kickass opener. Too bad the rest is good not great. The second song Low is pretty sick. I wonder who thought of putting the odd time signature at the beginning of Times Like These (I bet Taylor because he loves RUSH) | 6 | | Foo Fighters Echoes, Silence, Patience & Grace
I used to think "The Pretender" was meh (some idiot told me its a rip off of Stairway) but now I think it's one of their best songs and the chorus is infectious. Nice harmonies by Taylor. "Let it Die" is another amazing song that features great dynamics and nice lyrics. "Long Road to Ruin" is cool too. | 5 | | Foo Fighters In Your Honor
I hate the song Best of You but this album has a lot of gems like No Way Back, D.O.A., Hell. Plus there are some nice acoustic tracks. They didn't need to make it a double album though. | 4 | | Foo Fighters There Is Nothing left to Lose
Recorded as a three-piece in a basement in Virginia. Dave recorded all the vocals on a couch. This is where Dave started to become more radio-friendly with his songs. No songs about Weenie Beenies here. The opener, Stacked Actors, is my personal favorite. | 3 | | Foo Fighters The Colour and the Shape
Great album. Sad what happened to William Goldsmith, the drummer. Contains some of the band's best material like Everlong, My Poor Brain, Enough Space, My Hero. | 2 | | Foo Fighters Foo Fighters
Dave did this all himself and it may have been recorded analog but I'm not sure. This is pretty raw and sometimes there are little speed ups and slow downs but that's what gives it its charm. I don't think he used a click track while recording. | 1 | | Foo Fighters Wasting Light
Wasting Light is like a combination of each Foo album but without any filler. Dave is back to writing great rock songs as opposed to just writing hits that get overplayed on the radio. The "analog" method was a great idea and the result is a raw, heartfelt, kickass rock n roll album with two amazing "ballads" at the end. Plus its like return of the riffs. | |

05.17.12 | I remember trying Wasting Light on a whim (smacking myself for giving the Foo Fighters another undeserving shot). I looked at the tracklist right before listening and was like "Well...based on their history I'm prolly gonna like the first two songs and maybe one in the middle if I'm lucky". Easily the most shocking and pleasant listen I've had in a while. | VisionsFromTheDarkSide
05.17.12 | Foo Fighters at the Milton Keynes Bowl was fucking awesome, Biffy Clyro with some awesome support too | AliW1993
05.17.12 | I saw them on the Echoes tour, and at that point it was the best I'd ever seen. I'll probably end up seeing them again this summer, and although I'm not especially looking forward to it I know it'll be amazing, if that makes sense. | jayfatha
05.17.12 | Best of You rules wtf | Satellite
05.17.12 | lol at 1 not having filler. i mean it's pretty okay, but it wouldn't be a ff album if it was without filler.
also yeah they kill live. | ChuckyTruant
05.17.12 | ya wat fillar. its gr8 | BigPleb
05.17.12 | He's confused, he must be thinking of One by One. | ChuckyTruant

05.17.12 | Maybe you are, or maybe you're not, who knows. | Masochist
05.17.12 | I've got to agree that 'Wasting Light' doesn't have any filler. There are definite highlights, but even those three songs towards the end ("Back & Forth," "A Matter of Time" and "Miss The Misery") get stuck in my head more often than some of the Foo's bigger hits. | Masochist
05.17.12 | Won't say, though, that it's their best album. That title still remains with 'The Colour and the Shape'. | BigPleb
05.17.12 | ^ this. | ChuckyTruant
05.17.12 | lol yeah I'm 34 and think wasting light is just okay because im not 15 | Satellite

05.17.12 | But no really I'm not 15. I'm 17 haha. And no WL has no filler | ChuckyTruant
05.17.12 | No luca | lucazade22
05.17.12 | Don't get me wrong, I think the album's great and I agree it's probably the most consistent FF record. But I do think those songs are a bit meh... | BigPleb
05.17.12 | Weenie Beenie is FF's best song, period. | BigPleb
05.18.12 | Hey, Johnny Park! is fucking awes. | CrownOfMagnets
