the best christmas music of all Time

yeah so the Staff blog has featured some ok songs on Dave de Sylvia's "12 days of Christmas" series. Dave is one of the few people on the blog who can actually write, even though the series has been kind of boring and no one seems to give a shit about it. anyway, there are thus far a couple glaring omissions from his list of great Christmas music. while there are still a few days left for him to correct this, i figured i would jump the gun and inform the Sputnik swarm of what are without question two of the greatest Christmas albums of all time
1Benjamin Britten
A Ceremony of Carols

there are actually some pretty decent songs in the Christmas canon alongside all the heartwarming hogshit, but Benjamin Britten's "Ceremony of Carols" is by far the greatest collection of holiday music ever written, and one of the British composer's most magnificent works overall. it takes a massive dump from heaven down on every other Christmas song out there, excepting perhaps Leontovych's "Carol of the Bells" and Gruber and Mohr's "Stille Nacht" (though the traditional "Coventry carol" and "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen" get honorable mention). this is the best version that has been recorded. listen to it immediately
2 The Beach Boys
The Beach Boys' Christmas Album

if you don't listen to the Beach Boys you have no balls
