Post Rock

OK I've only recently got into post rock, but here are some of my favourite post rock albums ranked... (Only one per artist) Recs would be greatly appreciated
8Mogwai
Happy Songs for Happy People

I'm not their biggest fan by any means, in fact not much happens on this record at all, and I don't know why it's on my list now that I think about it.
7Yndi Halda
Enjoy Eternal Bliss

Yeah this is pretty cool aswell.
6Moving Mountains
Pneuma

Very different to the others on the list in that it's much more focused on vocals (well it actually has vocals). Still, it's a brilliant record.
5Best Pessimist
To Whom It May Concern

Fairly unknown one man Ukranian oufit specialises in brilliant piano led melodies, producing wonderfully dreamy sounding post rock.
4Sigur Ros
( )

Sigur got me into post rock and I still love them now. Like every good post rock band they incorporate hauntingly beautiful melodies with ever changing dynamics in all their songs, the vocals being the obvious difference (especially as the lyrics are in Vonlenska! Yeah I've never heard of that language either...)
3 Mono
Hymn To The Immortal Wind

The soundscapes these guys create are just amazing, unsurprising considering they recorded this record with the help of a 28 piece chamber orchestra. The climaxes of every song hit hard and never fail to send a shiver down your spine.
2 Explosions In The Sky
The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

Although the instruments used my EITS are far from diverse, they still manage to create magnificently beautiful melodies.
1 Godspeed You! Black Emperor
F#A#?

They are quite simply the kings of post rock, and one of the only bands to keep me captivated for 15/20min+ songs.
