I got a bunch of old games that I wanted to play and now they're all just sitting there |

JK... but yeah if you have your doubts about your PC being able to handle the PC version of the game, it'd probably be even less likely to handle emulating the PS2 version (though, then again, some PS2 games run surprisingly smooth when emulated and a million times better than others)(I remember before I got my PS2 back in my possession from my dad's house, trying out running my copy of RE4 with a PS2 emulator on my toaster and being blown away by how perfectly it ran) |

Also the latest Playstation console to have ps2 b/c is the 80gb version of the fat ps3. It's bullshit they didn't add b/c to it with ps4 or ps5. Ps3 games I get but there's no reason they couldn't do ps1&2 as well. |

I've always viewed it as not being about the fact that they don't care, but about the fact that they want to get you to pay for games you've already bought (and/or the remasters of those games) as many times as they can and making systems backwards compatible would work against that strategy |

09.08.21 | Yea, that has to be it and I sorta contributed to that because I bought MGS2 and 3 in HD when I already owned the originals for the PS2. And those remasters had minor but noticeable glitches, I think MGS2 had long loading times for each codec call and that can ruin the entire experience for some people. About the SH HD collection, I've heard a lot of bad things about it. If Sony doesn't get their shit straight I may end up resorting to emulators too
