10.17.10 | Hum, post-grunge is under mainstream rock here:
Breaking Benjamin - Phobia
30 Seconds to Mars - A Beautiful Lie
Three Days Grace - Three days Grace
Seether - Seether
look up these bands, you'll find some that get better ratings. But rating don't mean much to me, you're the one to chose who you like. |

10.17.10 | Sorry it's Seether - Disclaimer |

Dinosaur Jr. - Green Mind
Mudhoney - Every Good Boy Deserves Fudge
Tad - 8-Way Santa
Paw - Dragline
Brad - Shame
Treepeople - Something Vicious For Tomorrow / Time Whore (thats one album)

10.17.10 | The vast majority of post-grunge is awful imo.
Superfuzz Bigmuff by Mudhoney is essential, I'd recommend the deluxe edition it's a really good reissue. |

They have been labeled post-grunge sometimes. I don't see it either but, i was just rec them anyway so back off. |

10.22.10 | Chevelle is modern grunge. They could have fit in perfectly during the whole Seattle explosion of the early to mid-nineties. I don't think people realize how foreign that type of music was prior to 1990, 1991. I love Chevelle, but I doubt that band would exist without the influences of grunge.
Also, what about all of the Soundgarden, Alice In Chains, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana albums...you only have a few listed. Alice In Chains: Dirt is considered a classic grunge album, Sap EP, We Die Young and also Nirvana: Nevermind and In Utero, and Soundgarden: Down on the Upside, and Pearl Jam: Ten and Vitalogy. There are many other awesome grunge albums of the time, but it is good to expose yourselves to the classics of the four great grunge gods. |
