More Albums Like The Black Album?

You’re all going to laugh at me, but I swear this isn’t a joke. I got into heavy music via Slayer and Metallica when I was 13, and for the last 15 years I’ve listened pretty much exclusively to thrash, death, black, doom, grind etc extreme metal. I never bothered giving The Black Album a listen aside from hearing Enter Sandman everywhere, because I always knew it as Metallica’s “sellout” album, and presumed I wouldn’t like it. I was wrong. A friend played me Unforgiven and Sad But True the other day, and I couldn’t believe it. The production was amazing, the vocals were better than I’d ever heard Hetfield before, and the songwriting was so much better than the “riff soup” approach of AJFA. I’ve been listening to nothing but The Black Album for the last week, and I can’t believe I missed out on it for all these years. It’s also a LOT heavier than I was lead to believe. I think I might like it better than the First Four. Any recommendations for albums similar to the black album - heavy as balls but with catchy, powerful vocals all the same? I want to know what else I’ve been missing.
