5 Reasons Why Pitchfork Hates Good Music

Pitchfork: the holy bible of pretentious hipster garbage. It's no surprise that Pitchfork hates ranything lacking empty framed glasses and off tempo lo-fi indi (sorry Microphones, I still love ryou!!). Here are 4 amazing albums that pitchfork gave less than favorable reviews, and 1 awful ralbum they loved.
1Dredg
El Cielo

Pitchforks Rating: 5.6/10
Reason: For being pretentious.
Reaction: Seriously? What...The...Fuck...
2Thrice
The Illusion of Safety

Pitchforks Rating: 6/10
Reason: The author draws comparisons between gender benders and genre benders. Apparently
Thrice was too progressive with their experimenting and shit.
Reaction: My first clue that something was array was that this was the only album by Thrice
even reviewed by Pitchfork. I can understand giving the Illusion of Safety a 6, however ignoring
the latter (more impressive) part of Thrice's Discography is inexcusable, especially since Beggars
and The Alchemy Index should be right up Pitchforks alley.
3Tool
Lateralus

Pitchforks Rates: 1.effing9
Reason: None, the review is actually quite positive, which leads me to believe
the authors over there don't know their own damn rating system.
Reaction: ...I would let this one go, except 10,000 days received a 5.9... so
damn you pitchfork.. damn you to hell.
4Deftones
Deftones

Pitchforks Rating: 4.6/10
Reason: Apparently the author had a personal vendetta against the band, stating they should drowned in a capsized
port-o-potty.
Reaction: While I would agree that Deftones is their weakest album, a 4.6 can not be justified, and this was the
laziest, most biased piece of writing I have ever laid eyes on. For example, the tagline is "Hey, music DOES sound
better in your ass."
5The Shaggs
Philosophy of the World

Pitchforks Rating: 6.7/10
Reason: Damn Hipsters, thats why.
Reaction: There is no reason that anyone should ever, under any
circumstances, give The Shaggs a rating above 1.5/10 (the extra .5 is for pity).
Yet, for some inexplicable reason, The Shaggs somehow achieved a rating
higher than all of the previously mentioned bands...
Dear God, have mercy on our souls.
