| Artists That Could Use A Change
Got in arguments on Facebook about a few of these, so I made a list. | 1 | | Lindsey Stirling Lindsey Stirling
Rather than rely on her looks and trends, Ms. Stirling should focus on her talent and
break out of her first albums dubstep/trendy shell (as much as I enjoyed it). Yeah
she's a chick who plays violin, so what? | 2 | | Emancipator Dusk to Dawn
I love this guy. His tracks and style are amazing and I feel retarded for not having
listened to him when his debut came out. But that doesn't mean that things aren't
becoming predictable, even if they are still enjoyable. | 3 | | Combichrist Making Monsters
Luckily this one is already happening; with the DMC soundtrack Combi went more
metal and less oontz oontz and it was kinda nice. Andy is a smarter guy than
people think, I just hope he continues to changeup the bands sound. | 4 | | Skrillex Leaving
Disclaimer: I like this guys work more often than not. He obviously has started to
change, but it's too little and far too uninspired. Regardless of how he made his first
few EPs I'd love for him to take the music back by the balls and become more of a
musician again and less of a has-been/hair joke. | 5 | | Knife Party 100% No Modern Talking
Could be argued (rather successfully) that Knife Party were never that great.
Looking at who's behind the group however makes this unacceptable; the Pendulum
boys are better than this. Heck, even some of the remixs they did were better than
their original work. | |
Acanthus
02.22.13 | Sup. | Cipieron
02.22.13 | i actually quite liked Lindsey Stirling's self-titled, though I'm sure she's just going along with the whole 'dubstep' trend right now.
her Zelda, Phantom of the Opera, and Lord of the Rings melodies are amazing | Acanthus
02.22.13 | But that's to be expected really, the originals were all wonderful songs in their own right and as a classical violinist I'd really expect nothing less. | Cipieron
02.22.13 | that's true i guess
she could always go a hard rock, metal route for the next album | Acanthus
02.22.13 | I don't what I'd enjoy seeing, I'd just enjoy some evolution and more variety. | Tyrannic
02.22.13 | knife party is really upsetting | Acanthus
02.22.13 | Yeah, we listen to a bit of Pendulum at least once a week at work. |
