Top 12: The Best Songs By Sevendust

Being my favourite band, here's a list of my favourite songs by Sevendust rfrom every album rrthey've got.
1Soundtrack
Freddy Vs. Jason

"Leech" - My favourite Sevendust song, which belongs to a film that I would very much love to see a sequel to as well, and the
track has a strong and incredible chorus that still leaves an impact on me to this day. Brilliant song writing, this would have
been a great lead single for the film (though "How Can I Live" isn't bad either).

Next

"This Life" - For quite a while, "Hero" was my favourite track on here. But then this song came up and while at first I didn't quite
enjoy
it as much as I wished, it really got better the more I heard it. Brilliant lyrics that reflect the birth of a child too perfectly.
3Sevendust
Chapter VII: Hope and Sorrow

"Hope" - Definitely the better of the two-part title tracks due to it's beautiful and phenomenal chorus, as well as Mark
Tremonti's
amazing guitar solo at the midway point.
4Sevendust
Animosity

"Dead Set" - Easily my favourite Sevendust album because of the emotional weight contained in almost every song, this was
the
hardest pick for me because I love literally every song on this album to death, but "Dead Set" is my final decision because of
it's sheer
energy, the unique pace it has, as well as that chorus that packs a punch it's sung that "one single life needs not to die for
such a
cheap price, for one last flight, God save the child who lives like a w4673 (I made it through yesterday)".
5Sevendust
Alpha

"Alpha" - This track is explosive from start to finish with the most angriest and aggressive lyrics ever written by the band, I love
it.

Southside Double-Wide: Acoustic Live

"Black (Live)" - An amazing live album and a perfect retelling of what is arguably their most popular song, lots of depth in Lajon's
voice
in this song and the change of lyrics at times is welcome thanks to Lajon's awesome performance.

"Born to Die" - A scary and terrifying way to end a very dark and at times very disturbing album that subtly, but superbly, deals
with
various ugly themes and subject matter.
8Sevendust
Seasons

"Burned Out" - I'll admit, I didn't really like this song at first, but it was mainly due to the way it suddenly opens with Lajon
singing "stick
around and see the ugly look on my face". It didn't feel right to me for some reason, but that reason kept me coming back
and listening
to it (especially after Black Out the Sun's release which has the great song "Dark AM" mention "burned out" during the second
verse) and
eventually I loved it.
This once again proves the old saying true, never judge a book by its cover (or intro, in this case).
9Sevendust
Home

"Rumble Fish" - Great fight song that is 100 times better than "Enemy" from Seasons, which is probably their most well-known
song
because it's been featured in WWE and possibly other games and media alike.
10Sevendust
Black Out the Sun

"Murder Bar" - Doom-filled and vengeful, this track reminds me of The Punisher because of how it delightfully describes taking
one's life
for granted and "the secrets are buried underground" (as in the secrets to why he's such a crazed vigilante, his family's all
buried six feet under). Speaking of that, I'd love
to see them make a song for the next Punisher film, it'd be very fitting indeed (especially after you see what track from a
certain film's
soundtrack which I picked for the #1 spot).
11Sevendust
Cold Day Memory

"Unraveling" - A strong single which left a hefty impact on me and really made me view the album with a more open mind as I
continued listening to it more and more, probably their best single.
12Sevendust
Retrospective 2

"Hero (Live)" - One of the many intense, live performances given on this awesome compilation album from Sevendust.
