So...with DOOM, I really like 'MM.. Food?' to start with. You get some really catchy stuff, some of his most well known songs, and some of his best rhymes. But if you choose 'Madvillainy', 'Doomsday' or 'Take Me To Your Leader', those are all fine too.
If you end up liking Run the Jewels, be SURE to check out some of their solo stuff:
El-P - 'Cancer 4 Cure' or 'I'll Sleep When You're Dead'

The members, Myka 9 (or Mikah 9, however you want to spell it) and Aceyalone both have solo material that is definitely worth checking out. They also have another projected with Abstract Rude called Haiku d'Etat, which is absolutely worth checking out (that's actually how I know these guys, since I got the album after hearing one of their songs on a Tony Hawk game):
