07.10.12 | Death Grips feels like a progression of rap music to me. Something that hasn't been done yet. cLOUDDEAD is the ying to The Money Store's yang. Both as far away from contemporary rap music as you can get, one sultry and almost Tabula Rasa esque; the other being the equivalent of a punk album. They are both amazing. |

07.10.12 | Calculate, there's probably so much more I'm forgetting. I think 2012 has been a great year so far. |

07.10.12 | I have everything by Portico Quartet, they are fantastic aren't they? Remember seeing them on a British channel called Musflash TV years ago, along with former member Nick Mulvey. Loved them since then and glad to see they've made something of themselves. |

07.10.12 | Riff, I dont understand the want to attack my choices? Maybe the reason a lot of these AOTY lists are the "same" is because there is a general similar feeling across this site regarding what the best albums are this year. I'm hardly deaf also, why would I join up to this site if I cannot hear? New list tomorrow.. best albums for deaf people? Maybe a few of your 5's will be on there. Not as a slate to you, just because the albums are so poor in my opinion, which is all I can give. I wont attack you or other users for their choices personally as you have done, although maybe you would appreciate the conversation?
Schubert - I have all Portico Quartet's output, along with former member Nick Mulvey, I have followed them for years. They are just great aren't they?
Soby & Havey, this billy woods sounds promising. Giving it a spin now as I type. Very very good. I also do not really "get" El-P, however I am willing to give it another try. Maybe because I obtained it around the same time as Killer Mike, it was kind of underappreciated by myself. Looking forward to hearing the new Aesop album though!
