09.05.10 | I did when I actually reviewed anything. I'd listen to it before, think about it, write it and then re-read it while listening to the album.
But I'm a pretty shit writer so, you could/should ignore what I do. |

09.05.10 | I havent written many reviews but pretty much all of them i wrote i was listening to the album whilst writing it, helps me picture what i want to write and also reminds me of anything ive forgotten or not noticed as well to add. |

09.05.10 | I haven't listened to any of the albums i've reviewed |
DiceMan
09.05.10 | I have to listen to it, especially if I'm going to include any details about the sound. |

09.05.10 | I always listen to make sure I'm not forgetting anything important to the album. |
EVedder27
09.05.10 | listen to it over and over until I finish my review |
climactic
09.05.10 | I listen so I can point out specific parts, better describe the sound, etc |
Romulus
09.05.10 | it actually distracts me if i listen to the album while im writing [2]
i can like make a rough idea of what my review's going to be while listening, but the actual writing has to be silent. also you are awesome for 1 and 2.

09.05.10 | I listen so that the way I write is affected by the music. It's that simple. |
EVedder27
09.05.10 | what knott said, and it should be the only thing that you're thinking about |
Romulus
09.05.10 | you don't necessarily have to be listening to music for your writing to be affected by it. idk though i just think i'm too bad at multitasking to listen while i write |

09.05.10 | I usually try to, but it isn't always necessary because I've generally listened to the album enough times to remember the parts I want to use in my review. |
SoapySoap
09.05.10 | Does the same go for albums you're writing negatively about? I figure if someone is giving an album a
low rating (2 and lower), it's because they would rather not hear it again. I would also imagine that
it could help so that it reminds you to write about the few redeeming qualities about the albums (if
any). |
climactic
09.05.10 | If it's 2-2.5 I guess listen to it. Albums in 1-1.5 range are probably painful to listen to, so write about how you couldn't even listen to it again. |
Fugue
09.05.10 | I for one can't actually write without the music in the background, it helps for referencing particular tracks etc. |
Voivod
09.05.10 | Do you listen to an album while writing a review for it?
DEFINITELY |
MUNGOLOID
09.05.10 | it helps a lot. |

09.05.10 | I listen to the album whenever I write, unless it's painfully bad, and then I proofread in silence. |
