I've been listening to lots of new stuff lately and some of that has the potential to end up on rrrrrsome best of lists so I just thought why not tell everyone what I've been listening to. The list rrrrrconsists mainly of things that I believe to be 3.5 or better. So if you're into the respective rrrrgenre ryou should definitely try the stuff out.
1 Continents.
...and silence anchored our feet in granite

This is the best thing I've heard so far in 2012. This german band fuses melodic
hardcore with screamo in a way that leaves me speechless. If you're even just slightly
interested in this genre DO CHECK THEM OUT IMMEDIATELY. Free DL:

2Sully
Carrier

I'm not sure what kind of electronic music this exactly is so I just won't say anything here
and forward you to a link to one of the most amazing songs this year:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gvb7sOkWHBM
3Adaje
Yore Veils

Progressive Hardcore/Screamo with some chaos here and there. It's intense all the way
through. Free DL: http://adaje.bandcamp.com/album/yore-veils
4Eris Flies Tonight
Solitary

This 2-song EP features some amazing instrumental work. The vocals are absolutely not my
cup of tea but damn those guitars. Free DL:
http://erisfliestonight.bandcamp.com/album/solitary
5Solomon Solomon
Lent, or, ink on

Post-HC/Screamo with heavy Post-Rock influences. Lots of love going on here.

6Theory Hazit
Thr3e

I'm not good at talking about hip hop, just see for yourself:

7Acres
Acres

Post-Hardcore/Post-Rock. We have an awesome review for that so be sure to give it a
read. Name Your Price: http://acresuk.bandcamp.com/
8Toe
The Future Is Now

I don't think I have to say much about those dudes. Amazing post-rock without all the stupid
crescendos and some tasty math influences instead. http://www.youtube.com/watch?
v=kN4-A7dvsLw
9Mouse On The Keys
Machinic Phylum

This japanese post-rock/jazz fusion trio finally gave us some more much needed material. If
you don't know them already, be sure to give the EP a listen. It's just 11 minutes long but
nothing short of amazing.
10 Heart On My Sleeve
Stand?-?by, We're Going In For Life

Female fronted screamo from sweden. If you're into Ravachol, Mahria, Dollores and
the likes you'll also like this. Free DL: http://heartonmysleeve.bandcamp.com/
11Our Sunday Affairs
City of Dogs

Twinkly, twinkle, emo. http://oursundayaffairs.bandcamp.com/releases
12Sore Eyelids
Sore Eyelids LP

This is refreshing after the disappointment that Riala was (Sore Eyelids features members of Suis
La Lune). It's basically their selftitled EP rerecorded (oh my god the old songs sound soooooo
good) plus some new songs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=doG3ZOn4tKs
13We Had A Deal
Dialectics

German Hardcore/Screamo band. Shit's intense. Free DL (mediafire link if you scroll
down a bit): http://wehadadeal.bandcamp.com/
14Scott Kid
White Noise

Some cool trip-hop. I'm usually not into that genre but this is heavily on the hop side
which is kinda cool. Free DL: http://www.scottkid.com/
15Double Jump
Back to the Basics

Dude with accoustic guitar + cute girl = auto DL.
http://thedoublejump.bandcamp.com/
16Lara Korona
Land Unter

German Post-Metal with some slightly softer than usual instrumental passages.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nzTyuUnZqQw
17Pity Sex
Dark World

Some pop punk that I actually seem to like. Whatever they did with the vocals is pretty cool.
Free DL: http://pitysex.bandcamp.com/
18Trachimbrod
A Collection Of Hidden Sketches

Reminds me of Iselia, Envy and even some Suis La Lune here and there. Beauuuuutiful melodies.

19Everyone Everywhere
Everyone Everywhere (2012)

Twinkle, twinkle. One of the songs is called Wildlife which is auto win. Already got high ratings as
well. Full album(bandcamp link in description): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wmV8rh_GsAA
20 Locktender/Brighter Arrows
Split

Locktender is the former Men As Trees. Brighter Arrows is a band from my top 50 first half of 2012.
Locktender is playing Screamo with some Post-Rock influences, Brighter Arrows are more of the
Post-Hardcore side of things. Can't be a bad Split, can it? Check for yourselves:

21underwaters
Once In June

I think this Trip-Hop. I think I kinda like it. It's very vocal-driven. Last track has some very
heavy bass. Name your Price: http://underwaters.bandcamp.com/
22Iselia/Foxes
Split

Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee buddy. Those two have been rocking my late 2011/early
2012. Haven't listened to it yet but this can only be amazing, let's be real.

enjoyable listen. Free DL: http://arizonawilder.bandcamp.com/
