07.05.18 Graduation

So today l graduated from University with a bachelor of arts and to celebrate l will drink all of the beers and thought l would do a list of all the music that helped me get through those long nights of writing essays and doing work.
1Parkway Drive
Killing with a Smile

First up, my boys, my favourite band for years and years. One of the biggest albums in Australian music.
2Parkway Drive

The Byron lads again. PWD got me through many of my working hours.
Define the Great Line

Spencer and Aaron's vocals got me through one lone night l was stuck at my Uni doing a long ass essay on American history. Legends and a great band and record.
Listen and Forgive

I was so into this album for a long period of time. Indie moods came and went but l always came back for more of this album.
5The Story So Far
Under Soil and Dirt

As good a debut pop-punk album l have heard. Parker's incredible vocals are etched in my mind. Four Years has a real big University theme. Relatable
6The Story So Far
What You Don't See

This came out my first year at Uni when l did a bridging course to get into the degree l just did. That early leak with Stifled being unmixed? Yep, l remember.
7A Lot Like Birds
Conversation Piece

I've got Sput to thank for introducing me to this band. Enjoyed the hell out of this in my early Uni days.
8City and Colour
Little Hell

Now l do love Alexisonfire, but man, Dallas Green is the man. Awesome album. This got me through a lot when my Grandma passed my 2nd year. O'Sister hit me hard as it described my Grandma's passing perfectly.

My Aussie boys. Adrian was such a darn good singer and this band was so tight. I appreciate their new stuff but the old stuff will always be the greatest.
10The Wonder Years
The Upsides

As every pop-punk fan does, l had my TWY phase. My Last Semester fit where l was in my life at the time perfectly.
11August Burns Red

ABR. Not much l need to say. Great band, one of metalcore's best.
The Current Will Carry Us

Went a solid year and a bit where l got so into hardcore. Counterparts were one of the main bands l jammed. The Constant is still an epic tune.
The Difference Between Hell and Home

Outstanding album. Not a bad song on it.
14The Ghost Inside
Fury and the Fallen Ones

This is more high school but l still jammed them once in a while doing some work. This still rules and gives me great nostalgia.
15The Ghost Inside

Same as above. Still rules. Awful accident happened to these guys.but they're just getting back into it now. Hope to see a new album from these legends soon.
16Killswitch Engage
As Daylight Dies

Again, this one is more high school but l can't not include one of my all time favourite albums. Howard is the best KSE vocalist hands down.
17Knuckle Puck
While I Stay Secluded

Time for some more pop-punk. Great EP this.
18Knuckle Puck

True Contrite is the best song these guys have done. Good album too.
Outgrown Things

Outstanding new album who l have gotten heaps into recently. Can't wait to see them on their first Australia tour next month.
Feel Something

One of the best albums of last year. You should check it.
21Polaris (AUS)
The Mortal Coil

My fav album of last year. Consume was my SOTY. Metalcore at its best. Check it.
22Real Friends
Everyone That Dragged You Here

Great EP from the Chicago sad boys.
23Rise Against
The Sufferer and the Witness

A classic album from one of the best punk bands around.
24State Champs
The Finer Things

Back to pop-punk. Derek has the perfect voice for the genre.
25The American Scene
Safe For Now

This band is so so underrated it's crazy
26The American Scene

One for the chilled out moods
27The Dangerous Summer
Reach for the Sun

Ending this list off with my ultimate band l heard of coz of this site. Cheers to my man Rowan for showing me these guys a few years back.
28The Dangerous Summer
War Paint

Work In Progress is a choooon, Whole album is great.
29The Dangerous Summer
Golden Record

The name of the album sums it up
30The Dangerous Summer
The Dangerous Summer

A great comeback from the Maryland boys after their reunion
