Top 5 Of 2011 So Far

2011 has turned out to be a much better year for music than I thought rit'd be, here's my top five favorites so far.
1The Dear Hunter
The Color Spectrum (Complete Collection)

Though its a bit lengthy, I thoroughly enjoy each EP in this collection. The
transition from one sound to the next is near flawless.
2Frank Turner
England Keep My Bones

Turner turns out (lol see wat i did dere) an album that's so honest and genuine
and even name drops Dylan multiple times.
3Fair to Midland
Arrows and Anchors

Fair to Midland rocks out on this release while also retaining their signature
control over their sound. If you get a chance see these guys live soon also.
4The War on Drugs
Slave Ambient

Imagine if Kevin Shields released an album of fantastic folksy songs. Need I say
5Trophy Scars
Never Born, Never Dead

Along with last year's Darkness, Oh Hell, Trophy Scars have released one of the
most original music experiences I've ever listened to.
