AsoTamaki 10.26.11	Yeah. Kill was great, for sure. It'd definitely be higher if I were ranking based on how good it was in 1983 or whenever each record came out, but I don't think it holds up as well in the present day. Pretty much all of the subsequent Metallica albums sound very different from each other. Kill 'em All, on the other hand, is really just a less polished and mature version of what they ended up doing on Ride.
Valerius 10.26.11	That's where I disagree. Yes, it's got that old garage thrash sound and James' vocals are younger, but it's arguably their best record if you want thrash metal. The riffs and solos are simply killer in it.

Valerius 10.26.11	It's just straight up thrash. Killer thrash. I tend to listen to certain albums for a certain feel or mood I am in. When I listen to Metallica I listen for thrash, and Kill Em All has it.
AsoTamaki 10.26.11	True. It's definitely the most thrash Metallica album. When I want that sort of thing, I'll listen to Megadeth's first two albums, Heathen or even Exodus.

Every one of them you can headbang to, with killer riffs and solos.

I love Escape and Eye of the Beholder, but that's okay since really none of the songs on those albums are bad and something has to be chosen. I'll pretend that's your reasoning. Fixxxer and Devil's Dance and great songs. Fixxxer especially is one of their better songs of that era. Slither does suck, yes. It's Electric is a 90s cover. Loverman is amazing. Everything else I can agree on. @acad: Are you referring to S&M or Lulu? As great as they are, they aren't studio Metallica albums. Sorry.
