08.20.11 | the long halloween is the fucking TRUTH. i have a 3 book series called Batman: Jazz it's essentially what would happen if Batman met Miles Davis. It came out in the mid 90's its a good read check it out. Good list. |

The Long Halloween, The Black Mirror and Scott Snyder's current run on Batman with The Court of the Owls are the best batman stories in my opinion. Also check out Batwoman: Elegy. Not everyone's cup of tea, but it's much better than most of graphic novels in your list, IMO. |
