| My End Of The Year List | 10 | | Full of Hell Roots Of Earth Are Consuming My Home
This band is absolutely insane live. They put on a hell of a show and until I
listened to this on vinyl, I didn't realize just how good they were. Definitely
one of the best hardcore releases of the year. | 9 | | Ages Sleep On It
Although it is not the most mature album, it is an awesome album and it's
fun to listen to. I've seen these guys 3 times in the last year and they
sound better live than they do recorded. | 8 | | Trash Talk Awake
Trash Talk's best work since Walking Disease in my opinion. | 7 | | CityCop Seasons
Another Ashtabula band with a bright future ahead of them. I haven't
stopped listening to this since I got it. | 6 | | Code Orange Kids Cycles
I just got back from the vinyl release show for this and got a test pressing
of it. It's very dark, sludgy hardcore from Pittsburgh. It's catchy and the
entire album fits wonderfully. | 5 | | Pianos Become The Teeth The Lack Long After
The best screamo release I've heard in a long time. I wasn't sure how I felt
about this album until I saw them live. After I did, I decided that it was one
of the best albums of the year. | 4 | | Touche Amore Parting The Sea Between Brightness And Me
This album is not nearly as good as ...to the beat of a dead horse, but is
still a masterpiece. It may be a rather cliche choice, but I do enjoy listening
to it quite a lot. | 3 | | Departures When Losing Everything Is Everything You Wanted
The best hardcore release of the year in my opinion. Very well composed
and emotional melodic hardcore from the UK. | 2 | | Basement I Wish I Could Stay Here
The best pop-punk release of the year in my opinion. While Title Fight's
Shed is great, this album is phenomenal and I haven't been able to stop
listening to it since I got it. Their EP is quite possibly better than this, but
I'm not sure when it came out. | 1 | | Wifebeater Holding Stone
So, I'm fairly certain that nobody here has listened to this other than me.
Which is a shame since this 11 minute EP has more emotion than most full
lengths do, not to mention the fact that it's absolutely beautiful. It is a 3-
piece folk band from Pittsburgh with members of Code Orange Kids with 2
female vocalists, a guitar, and an upright bass. I'd definitely recommend
checking this out. | |
