15 Albums I Love

So I'm making a list out of boredom, these are 15 albums I can never tire of and always come back to for various reasons. What are everyone's all time faves?
1Porcupine Tree
Fear of a Blank Planet

In my eyes easily the best PT release, awesome atmosphere and their best
realisation of prog mixed with the Opeth influence. Nil recurring is also great.
2Elliott Smith
Roman Candle

"I'm lying down, blowin' smoke from my cigarette, whisper smoke signs that
you'll never get, You're in your oldsmobile driving by the moon, headlights
burning bright ahead of you, and someone's burning out, out on condor avenue,
trying to make a whisper out of you" I don't think RC needs justifying really.
3The Stooges
Raw Power

I love raw power, it's probably the ballsiest and funnest album I own... Can't
split Search and Destroy and Gimme Danger
4Kyuss
Welcome To Sky Valley

Sweet, rocking in the desert. This album is awesome to drive to in the late
afternoon
5The Tea Party
The Edges Of Twilight

Majestic, hard rocking album with really cool world/Eastern influences.
Musicianship is amazing for a three piece.
6Tool
Lateralus

Sometimes maligned largely because of the meathead contingent of their fan
base, Tool still have a great discography. Lateralus is Tool at their peak.
7You Am I
Hi Fi Way

I'm a self confessed You Am I fanboy, I can't help it. This is probably their best
effort.
8Grinderman
Grinderman

I love how Nick Cave can have such a decorated, sophisticated discography and
then come up with "No Pussy Blues".
9Eels
Souljacker

Introverts unite!
10Rosetta
Wake/Lift

I think plenty has been said on sputnik about Rosetta already, they are a great
band.
11Queens of the Stone Age
Lullabies to Paralyze

Often forgotten, a spooky and atmospheric album that is just as good as Songs
for the Deaf imo.
12The Drones
Havilah

Twisted, frustrated, beautiful and full of rage are The Drones. Think Minor
Threat having their brutal way with a band like Wilco.
13Isis
Oceanic

Again, much hyped here on sputnik, but my first taste of post and it still gets
regular plays.
14Nirvana
Nevermind

This was huge for a reason.
15Sonic Youth
Sister

Probably my favourite SY album, who are one of my favourite bands.
