IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	Too be honest I haven't gotten into The ARt of Drowning yet I have gone through the album twice, once today and I just can't dig it as much as their other efforts which surprised me since it came out right after all hallow's which is GODLY IMO. And i knew i'd get trashed by sputnikers for having december up so high haha i just love it though.

theacademy 05.10.10	all hallows has 2 of AFI's best songs but its still just an EP. if youre going to download the band's best works, u should start with their best albums... that having been said, u can't go wrong with the ep AND the albums...
IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	academy you'er probably right. You should listen in order too. BSITSS then All Hallows then Art of Drowning. And as for me it looks like I need to continue listening to AoD till I appreciate it.
theacademy 05.10.10	STS = new afi, buddy. STS has way more in common with DU and CL than anything that came before... Doesn't make it BAD... it's just peer pressure making you think this way...
IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	Yeah I get what you mean but there is this catchiness that came along with Decemberunderground that is just irresistable to me... maybe it will wear off soon and I will put it lower and there first three albums will remain right where they are in my mind. Each only had a couple good songs.
IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	academy you're right I was about to say that I didn't catch him at first. AFI has three eras imo. ATASF, VPOY and SYMAOYE first then came BSITSS All hallows and AoD. And finnaly StS December and Crash.
IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	the hidden song this time immperfect was epic... haha I'm addicted to AFI right now and I love all their stuff. I'll give STS a few more listens for you. And they were crazy cerca BSITSS. The live videos are crazy but there just too popular a band to have such intimate performances anymore.
theacademy 05.10.10	dude illpromiseyouthat is right (re: 3 eras of AFI) STS and CL is just DU with less experimentation and better songwriting. "Girl's Not Gray" had the same effect you claim "Miss Murder" had. of course you can like STS more than CL, but you can't really criticize their new sound and then call STS "old afi."
IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	andcas I understand what you mean about the hot topic kids and the ones that only know miss murder. In fact I had never heard this band until Miss Murder (which is now one of my least favorite songs by them). It was only recently I went back and listened to all their older stuff and I was amazed at what drastic changes this band has under gone.

IllPromiseYouThat 05.10.10	idk who mgs is but i'd most likely pick AFI dicography(spelled wrong). I just wish All Hallow's was an actual album. Its just so perfect.
